Senior Manager – Portfolio Strategy & Medical-Scientific Due Diligence

Pharmaceutical Industry | Mexico

We are looking for a Senior Manager – Portfolio Strategy & Medical-Scientific Due Diligence to play a critical role in evaluating, prioritizing, and shaping new therapeutic opportunities for the Mexican market.

This is not a traditional commercial BD role. The position is designed for professionals who can integrate medical science, clinical feasibility, regulatory considerations, and financial rigor to support sound investment and portfolio decisions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the end-to-end evaluation of new molecules and therapeutic opportunities, from early ideation through due diligence and launch readiness.
  • Actively collaborate with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs), medical-scientific committees, Medical Affairs, R&D, and academic institutions.
  • Design and coordinate medical focus groups, advisory boards, and ideation sessions to generate actionable insights.
  • Assess clinical, medical, and regulatory feasibility considering the realities of the Mexican healthcare system.
  • Develop and continuously refine integrated business cases, combining clinical evidence, medical risks, financial assumptions, and ROI scenarios.
  • Coordinate cross-functional due diligence across Regulatory, Quality, Manufacturing, Finance, and Medical.
  • Deliver clear, well-supported go / no-go recommendations.
  • Present findings and strategic recommendations to senior leadership and executive committees.

This is a high-visibility, high-impact role requiring strong strategic thinking, financial acumen, scientific curiosity, and the ability to lead complex initiatives through influence rather than direct authority.

📩 Interested candidates are encouraged to apply or reach out directly.
